Coffee Chat

An easy-to-find compilation of our Coffee Chats, in the order they were published:

Coffee Chat with Author S.K. Anthony —Our very first Coffee Chat! Of course, we talk about how incredible SK is, and how she gets her best ideas from me.

Coffee Chat 2.0 with Author S.K. Anthony: Revisions —We discuss the helpfulness of revisions and how she proceeds through her own.

Coffee Chat 3.0 with S.K. Anthony: New Year, New Goals —In our third Coffee Chat, we talk about resolutions, intentions, and when we'll find time to sleep if we keep them all.

Coffee Chat 4.0 with S.K. Anthony: Taming the Social Media Monster —We (try to) talk about social media and the time-suck it can be, all while checking our own social media accounts . . . and looking for snacks in the still-hanging Christmas stockings.

Coffee Chat 4.1 with S.K. Anthony: What Makes a Blogger Interesting? —We continue our chat about social media, this time focusing on what makes us enjoy one blog more than another, and what we consider to be good blogging (and blog-visiting) etiquette.

Coffee Chat 5.0 with S.K. Anthony: It's Giveaway Time! —This chat not only promoted a giveaway (complete with a listing of the Mother of All Prizes that we did NOT give away), but included a special guest, author Debra Ann Miller, who insisted we call her Queen Mum for the entire chat.

Coffee Chat 5.1 with S.K. Anthony: Flash Giveaway! —We talk about flashing, our Share the Love giveaway, ShamWow coffee filters, and SK's ability to get in my house.

Coffee Chat 6.0 with S.K. Anthony: Blogging from A to Z —The A to Z challenge is on its way, we have our topics chosen, and the hardest part is Lynda's dilemma of how to keep her blog posts short for the April challenge when her Italian heritage tells her to just keep talking.

Coffee Chat 7.0 with S.K. Anthony: I Love You! —SK shows up at my door, stinking drunk because of . . . a book boyfriend. Yep. We discuss fake boyfriends, real husbands, Valentine's Day, and Lynda's favorite Valentine card ever.

Coffee Chat 8.0 with S.K. Anthony: The Kidnapping of Janie Junebug —SK brings a grammar queen toy to my door . . . a toy that turns out to be a real, live person. We try to treat her well . . . really, we do.

Coffee Chat 8.1 with S.K. Anthony: The Kidnapping of Janie Junebug, Part Two —Janie finally stops shivering long enough to answer our questions.

Coffee Chat 9.0 with S.K. Anthony: Stephen Fender's Latest—Traitor Winds —Once SK realizes I'm not replacing her in my life with a traitorous "other S," we discuss Traitor Winds and how cool agent Angelika Jordan would think we are if she knew us in real life.

Coffee Chat 10.0 with S.K. Anthony: Into the Nightmirrors with Raymond Esposito —Dark fiction author Raymond Esposito joins us to return SK from his front yard and to discuss his newest book, The Devil's Hour, while SK sets up yet another bedroom in Lynda's house because she's convinced there's a clown under her bed.

Coffee Chat 11.0 with S.K. Anthony: Everything and Nothing from A to Z —We're getting our A to Z posts ready for the April challenge, and figuring out what, exactly, is keeping us so busy.

Coffee Chat 12.0 with S.K. Anthony: Going on Vacation! —We answer ALL the questions from the giant mailbag SK has brought in, and brace ourselves for our "vacation" from Coffee Chat while the April A to Z Challenge is happening.

Coffee Chat 0.0: S.K. is GONE! —SK has the nerve to go on vacation to Jamaica with her husband and not me.

Coffee Chat 13.0 with S.K. Anthony: We're Back! —We catch up on Jamaica and our favorite A to Z bloggers from April.

Coffee Chat 4.2 with S.K. Anthony: Our Facebook Issues —We finally get back to our social media questions from months ago, and SK brings a gift for me . . . a gift that is strolling about my backyard.

Coffee Chat 14.0: When S.K. Met Lynda —We talk about our adorable childhood selves, how Live Bacon now has a friend, and our thwarted plans for a coffee plantation tour.

Coffee Chat 15.0 with S.K. Anthony: Wing Me Up, Baby! —This is what happens when we can't come up with a plan and have to wing it.

Coffee Chat 16.0 withOUT S.K. Anthony: She's Done It Again! —Even though SK is on yet another vacation, I've managed to find a handful of our special photos from vacations together. We look great!

Coffee Chat 17.0 with S.K. Anthony: Why Some Book-to-Movie Adaptations Stink! —We discuss movies made from books, why most of them suck, and how dressing the part for watching movies makes us have more fun, especially when wearing a wig brings out the best features in my glasses.

Coffee Chat 18.0 with S.K. Anthony and Stephen Fender —We have Stephen over for coffee to discuss his latest release, In the Presence of My Enemies, the next installment in the Kestrel Saga. But more importantly, we've convinced him that first-time guests wear a kilt, so Lynda (the kilt-lover) is especially giddy. Blueberry bannocks made by SK are what make the whole experience over-the-top good.

Coffee Chat 19.0 with S.K. Anthony: Where'd That Come From? —The chat in which we enlighten everyone (as only we can) about words, idioms, and their origins.

Coffee Chat 20.0 with S.K. Anthony: Chatting 'Til the Cows Come Home —An entire Coffee Chat done in clichés. Ouch.

Coffee Chat 21.0 with S.K. Anthony: Make Mine a Double . . . Negative —Author C. Lee McKenzie joins us to visit Donkey, Live Bacon, and discuss her latest book, Double Negative, along with the problem of illiteracy in our country.

Coffee Chat 22.0 with S.K. Anthony: Editing With Style —SK brings a Style Sheep into my living room, and digs up some photos of me in my Special Editing Outfits. Hey, they help me get in the right frame of mind, right?

Coffee Chat 23.0 with S.K. Anthony: The Loudermilks Band —It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time for SK, and somehow she manages to find a new set of maracas.

Coffee Chat 24.0 with S.K. Anthony: S.K. is LOST! Have You Seen Her? —Somehow, I've misplaced SK, so I've put our coffee cup on the sides of milk cartons to see if we can locate her.

Unfortunately, after this Coffee Chat, I was forced to take a blog break from fall of 2014 until summer of 2016, and SK and I are still trying to figure out how in the world to make the time to get our Coffee Chats going again. We miss them! In the meantime, you can find her on her own blog and on a new, shared blog with Raymond Esposito, called Writers After Dark. Fun, informative, and full of resources for authors!
